About Georgia Shaffer

Georgia Shaffer is an author, professional speaker, licensed Psychologist in Pennsylvania and a Christian life coach. Her books include Taking Out Your Emotional Trash, How NOT to Date a Loser, and A Gift of Mourning Glories. 

Georgia’s story along with her photos are featured in the film Letters to God:  Over twenty two years ago Georgia was given a two percent chance to be alive in 10 years after a recurrence of breast cancer. “At that time my son, Kyle, was only 8 years old,” she said, “which meant I had a two percent chance to see him graduate from high school.” (Her picture below on right)

“Not only did I see Kyle graduate from college but several years ago, when Kyle was 30, I had the joy of dancing with him at his wedding.”   (Picture on left).

A charter board member of AACC’s International Christian Coaching Association, Georgia is featured on their home page at www.iccaonline.net. As a core part of the teaching staff on AACC’s Professional Life Coaching Training DVD series, she has shared her expertise in other AACC series such as Hope Coaching, Divorce Recovery, Caring for Teens God’s way and Conquering Cancer, which she helped produce.

Georgia is part of the Extraordinary Women Bible Study DVD that companions Julie Clinton’s book Women of Extraordinary Faith (http://www.ewomen.net/faithstudy).  Other presenters for this study are Thelma Wells, Jennifer Rothschild, Stormie Omartian, Carol Kent, Michelle Hammond, Linda Mintle, Lysa Terkeurst, and Angela Thomas.

Georgia has also appeared on shows such as The 700 Club, The Sharron and Hermann Show, Decision Today, and Sky Angel’s A Time for Hope and on the DVD “Jesus: Fact or Fiction?” See Georgia on the Jesus DVD

Georgia speaks frequently at conferences, women’s retreats and singles’ and cancer survivor events helping people identify: “What needs to grow? What needs to go?” in their life.  When she isn’t writing, speaking, or coaching, Georgia enjoys spending time with her son’s family and deciding what needs to grow or go in her scenic garden. She resides near Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
